Experiences in her life have let Indira discover a love for designing and creating curriculums, training materials, and other resources linked to learning outcomes, improving adult learning and job performance.

As a U.S. Army Chemical Specialist, Indira was deployed to South Korea for 3 years. During those 3 years of deployment, she created training and taught over 70 military, Korean nationals, and Department of the Army civilian personnel about Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense measures. While working as the CBRN Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), Indira discovered different ways to design and create motivating courses to engage learners in training and keep them safe in case of a CBRN attack.

Upon completing her military commitment, Indira transitioned into the role of a trainer and mentor for National Background Investigators. As a mentor, Indira taught trainees and conducted workshops.

In her role as a mentor, Indira used a learner-centered approach and engaging teaching methods to enhance the performance, productivity, and quality of background investigators in their work, particularly in the context of national security.
