Faculty Professional Development Services (FPDS) Center for Innovative Teaching and Technology (CITT)
The following instructional design projects were designed and developed while working for the (FPDS) at HCC in 2024. I supported the development and implementation of engaging, innovative teaching methods and technologies, thereby enhancing successful learning opportunities for students. Each project contains a brief description of the project main goal, and the technology used.
For this first project, the primary goal was to create high-quality, engaging, and cost-effective video content for a Sociology course at Hillsborough Community College (HCC). My role involved assisting a faculty member in enhancing the engagement and accessibility of her online course. The faculty member initially provided an image with poor color contrast (see picture below) that was inaccessible to students. To address this, I transformed the content into a more engaging studio-quality video with an AI avatar and voiceover for the narration. While creating this video, I ensured full accessibility by adding the video's transcript to the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

I utilized Chatgpt, emaze, PowerPoint, and Synthesia 2.0 (AI).
For the second project, I was tasked with designing and creating an engaging presentation to explain the importance of the Universal Design For Learning (UDL) framework to faculty members at Hillsborough Community College (HCC). The presentation's goal was to empower them to create more inclusive and effective learning environments that accommodate the diverse needs of all students.
I utilized Canva, Prezi, PowerPoint, a Lightboard, and Camtasia.
For my last project, I was tasked with presenting the 2024-2025 college student profiles to faculty members during the In-Service Welcome event. My goal was to deliver this essential data in a way that was both engaging and motivational. Understanding student profiles is crucial for faculty, as it helps them choose the most effective teaching strategies to foster an inclusive classroom environment and meet the diverse learning needs of their students.
I utilized Canva, PowerPoint, Soundcloud, and Camtasia.
